ANTLION -- Agricultural Tail Risk Analysis Add-on for Google Sheets

1. Overview

ANTLION is a Google Sheets add-on that provides historical crop insurance loss ratio analysis using publicly available USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) data. This privacy policy describes how ANTLION accesses, uses, and protects Google user data in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

2. Google User Data Accessed

ANTLION requests the following Google OAuth scopes to function:

• Current Spreadsheet Access (spreadsheets.currentonly) -- ANTLION reads and writes data only within the Google Sheets spreadsheet in which it is actively being used. This includes writing risk scores, alert levels, loss ratios, and analysis results to cells via custom functions and the sidebar panel.
• User Interface Display (script.container.ui) -- ANTLION uses this scope to display an interactive sidebar panel and dialog boxes within Google Sheets for user interaction.
• External Network Requests (script.external_request) -- ANTLION makes outbound network requests to: (a) retrieve publicly available USDA RMA data files hosted on Google Cloud Storage, and (b) validate license keys through the Gumroad API.

3. How Google User Data Is Used

ANTLION uses the accessed Google user data strictly to provide its core functionality:

• Spreadsheet data is used solely to deliver analysis results (risk scores, alert levels, loss ratios, and explanatory text) directly into the user's active spreadsheet. ANTLION does not read, analyze, or process any pre-existing user data in the spreadsheet beyond what is required to place its output in the correct cells.
• License key information entered by the user is sent to the Gumroad API for validation purposes only. The validated license status is cached locally within the user's own Google Apps Script user properties to avoid repeated validation calls.

4. Data Storage and Retention

ANTLION does not maintain any external database or server that stores user data. All data handling occurs as follows:

• Analysis results are written directly to the user's own Google Sheets spreadsheet and remain under the user's control.
• The user's license key and validation status are stored locally in Google Apps Script user properties, accessible only to the individual user.
• No user data is copied, cached, or retained on any external server owned or operated by ANTLION.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

ANTLION does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any Google user data to third parties. The only external communications made by ANTLION are:

• Fetching publicly available USDA RMA data files from Google Cloud Storage (no user data is included in these requests).
• Sending the user's license key to the Gumroad API to verify its validity (no other user data is included in this request).

6. Data Security

ANTLION operates entirely within the Google Apps Script environment, which provides built-in security controls including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all network requests. Because ANTLION does not operate any external servers or databases, there is no external attack surface for user data.

7. User Control and Data Deletion

Users may remove ANTLION and all associated locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the add-on through Google Sheets (Extensions > Add-ons > Manage add-ons). Uninstalling the add-on removes all cached license information from the user's Apps Script properties. Any analysis results previously written to the user's spreadsheet remain in the spreadsheet under the user's full control.

8. Use of AI and Machine Learning

ANTLION does not use artificial intelligence or machine learning models. All analysis is performed using deterministic statistical methods (robust scale estimators and threshold-based scoring). No Google user data is used to train any AI or ML models.

9. Children's Privacy

ANTLION is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of ANTLION after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
